Sew With Purpose

Craft Hope Spreading seeds of hope one stitch at a timeHere's another terrific way to live with purpose. Do you enjoy sewing? Do you want to even try to sew? The projects this site suggests are incredibly simple and have been one of the 2 catalysts that have encouraged me to learn how to sew.

Let me explain. Craft Hope exists to encourage people who love to help others through crafting/sewing. They have been in existence for over a year and just initiated their 9th project this week. Here's how it works. They introduce a project and beneficiary, give you instructions for how to participate, wait for the projects to arrive and keep you informed in the whole collection and distribution process so you know all the way along what a difference your projects are making. It truly is incredible and builds such a sense of community as you work with others in the effort to help others.

Project 9 was just introduced this week. Their beneficiary is ConKerr Cancer - an organization dedicated to providing new and stylish pillowcases to all terminally ill children in the United States. Project 9 was established so you could help this organization by making pillowcases. That's it! They give you information about ConKerr Cancer, directions on how to make pillowcases and a list of addresses where you can send your finished pillowcases here. It's nothing huge - just a simple pillowcase. But it's going to make a huge difference in the life of a terminally ill child and their family.

Let me know if you decide to participate in this project and send me pictures! I can't wait to see what all you come up with!

Craft Hope is truly an incredible enterprise and I know they are making a huge difference in people's lives all over the world. Check out their site by clicking on the Craft Hope button and see all the ways you can get involved!
